Bridgestone Golf, the No. 1 ball-fitting brand, is introducing a brand new range of e-Series balls that combine its previous dimple technology with a revolutionary WEB pattern to deliver a more penetrating flight and extra distance.

The distinctive WEB Dimple Technology is the predominant feature on the new balls, with 226 unique dimples to maximise surface coverage combining with 110 Dual Dimples for consistent ball flight.

The new dimple configuration in the latest e-5, e-6 and e-7 balls produces 10% more surface coverage than previous models to retain ball speed for a sustained period after launch. It also helps to create an impressive flight trajectory at the ball’s highest speed mark and maintain lift as its velocity declines.

Golfers looking for higher flight trajectory are encouraged to use the e-5 ball, while the e-6 is designed to provide straighter flight and the e-7 a more penetrating ball flight.

“The e-Series range has been extremely popular in recent years, especially at live ball fittings, but the new models promise golfers an even better performance level,” said Steve Kettlewell, MD of Bridgestone Golf UK. “Each new ball has a distinctive characteristic designed to appeal to different players and address their individual playing needs from tee to green.”

The new version of the top-selling e-6 three-piece     ball is the softest Multi-layer golf ball on the market, with a soft core for lower spin and straighter flight. Featuring a softer suryln cover, the e-6 is set to push the distance barriers for golfers looking to eradicate hooks and slices from their game. The popular e-6 ball is available in white, orange and optic yellow.

The latest e-5 two-piece model has a faster spin rate for higher flight, while the e-7 ball offers explosive pace and a piercing flight with a speed-enhancing three-piece construction.

All three balls come in striking new packaging and will have an RRP of £29.99 per dozen from March.

Soft is a big thing in the golf ball market this year following Callaway's introduction of the Chrom Soft.

Wilson have taken this a step further with the introduction of the DX2 Soft distance golf ball, that together with the new DX3 Spin and the continuation of their FG-Tour model means the company now boasts the softest 2, 3 and 4 piece balls on the market.

The DX2 soft has a compression of just 29 and is 25% softer than it's predecessor and delivers even more yardage thanks to less spin being generated off the driver face at impact. The low compression of the 2-piece ball means that golfers will also benefit from green side control and spin on approach shots.

Doug Thiel, Global Director of Marketing for Wilson Golf explains the evolution of the design:

Our R&D team have been working on a lower compression solution since we first released the original DX2 Soft to the marketplace in 2007. Research over the years has been consistent in finding that the majority of golfers prefer a softer feeling golf ball.

The DX3 Spin golf ball has a slightly higher compression than the DX2 Soft at 35 but this mark still makes it the world's softest multilayer ball. The DX3 is aimed at players looking for spin and control around the greens but who still want a ball that offers feel and lower spin from the tee.

The DX3 is a three piece construction and Wilson have added an inner mantle to increase spin on mid and short iron shots whilst also increasing resilience to aid ball speed and distance.

The DX2 Soft will retail at £19.99 with the DX3 Spin available at £24.99 per dozen. These balls join the 4-piece Wilson Staff FG Tour, that retails at £34.99, which continues to lead the range following its launch in 2014.
